New Councillor Joins RPC!

At the full meeting on September 11th 2017 a new member was co-opted on to the parish council following the resignation of Mr Chris Bool.

Mr Steve Curtis completed the Acceptance of Office Declaration on Sept 11th and will take part in the next full council meeting on October 9th 2017.

His full details will be added to the Councillor section of the website within the next few days.

Roade Neighbourhood Development Plan Consultation

The consultation on the Draft Roade Neighbourhood Development Plan starts on September 4th 2017 and is open until September 30 2017.

This is your opportunity to give your views on the future plans for your village.

South Northamptonshire to have say on Plan that will help shape the district for the next 15 years

Residents and businesses in South Northants are being urged to have their say on the future of the district during a 10-week consultation which starts Monday, 4 September.

The Local Plan Part 2 'Preferred Options' will form a key policy document that developers will have to consider before submitting development proposals to South Northants Council (SNC) for planning permission.

New office now open

Roade Parish Council are delighted that the new Parish Office is now finished and is open for visitors.

The office is based at the village hall on Bailey Brooks Lane and is managed by two members of staff, Fiona Young, Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer and Gillian Greaves, Deputy Clerk.

The office is open to the public Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10am to 2pm.

Vandalism at the Rec!

There have been two incidences of vandalism at the Recreation Ground on London Road.

The first took place in June and is still un resolved. The parish council erected a fence to prevent small children from entering the stream at the bottom of the recreation ground. Despite the gate being left unlocked it was still damaged and has had to be replaced at a cost of £550.
