Additional Village Technician Wanted

Roade Parish Council would like to invite contractors to tender for the role of Village Technician. This role is to complement and support the existing services already provided by our loyal and long serving village technician.

Indicative time commitment is approx. 16 hours per month.

The successful contractor will: -

• Have good interpersonal skills
• Be reliable and responsive
• Be able to work on their own initiative
• Have their own equipment/tools/transport
• Have Public Liability Insurance and certification of relevant training (such as Health & Safety)

This is an outdoor role undertaking tasks including routine maintenance, gardening, and clearing. We seek someone who will be able to carry out manual duties, be good at DIY and minor repairs, be able to supply and operate their own machinery and equipment, and have a good general knowledge and understanding of safe working practices.
