Free Temporary Membership for NHS COVID Vaccine Appointments
Towcester are door 2 door (TADD) are offering free temporary TADD membership to residents who have difficulty arranging transport to their NHS COVID vaccine programme appointments. The passenger will only have to pay the driver the cost of the journey at the HMRC rate of 45p per mile.

White van men pestering residents offering gardening services
We have been made aware than a resident was pestered on her doorstep by some men offering garden services this morning in Hoe Way. Despite her repeatedly advising them said she didn't want to use their services they didn't want to take no for an answer.

Removal of Christmas Decorations from Cemetery
There are still quite a few Christmas Decorations on graves at the cemetery. We would like to remind anyone that may have forgotten to remove decorations from love ones graves, that it's traditional to remove Christmas decorations on the twelfth night, which was 6th January.

Abandoned car
Edit: We have been advised that the car has been removed today.
We have received an update from the E.L.V.I.S team at Northamptonshire Police. They have advised that the abandoned car has been investigated by a warden who has authorised the removal of the car this morning. It has been passed to their recovery operator to collect, so it should hopefully be removed within 24 hours.

Alert - Coronavirus Vaccination Scams
As of 7 January 2021, Action Fraud had received 57 reports from members of the public who have been sent text messages claiming to be from the NHS, offering them the opportunity to sign up for coronavirus vaccinations. Covid guidelines - Outdoor play areas and gyms
Following the government advising of a national lockdown. The Parish Council can confirm that outdoor play areas such as the Rec and the park at Churchcroft open space can remain open. We would like to remind residents to adhere to social distancing guidelines when using the play equipment and to ensure that hands are washed/sanitised before and after using the equipment.
