The Law on clearing snow and ice
Northamptonshire Highways simply do not have the resource to grit every path and road in the country and encourage people to use the 1500 grit bins across the county.
The salt is for use on public roads and paths.
If you find a bin that is empty, please report it to Street Doctor (fixmystreet.com) and NCC Highways will come out and refill.

CCTV letter to residents
The Parish Council will be delivering letters to all homes in the village over the next week notifying residents about the CCTV cameras that have been installed around the village.
The Cameras have been installed for the wellbeing of the community and to help residents to feel safe.
A copy of the letter is also attached.

There are a number of gloves and a pair of trousers left on one of the tables in the Rec, if they are yours could you please arrange to collect them.
They've been there for a couple of weeks now, so will be recycled in the clothes bank if not claimed over the weekend.

Road Works - London Road - signal crossing update Monday 8th to Friday 27th February 2021
Northamptonshire Highways have advised us that they will be upgrading and modernising the existing pedestrian signal crossing on London Road near the junction of Hyde Road.
There will be 2 way traffic signals operating between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday from Monday 8th February to Friday 27th February (weather dependent) and one night closure on Thursday 11th February 2021.

New dog poo bins in the village
The Parish Council has purchased two new dog poo bins for the village, one has already been installed at Churchcroft open space, and the second will shortly be installed along Northampton Road.
We would like to thank all responsible dog owners for picking up after their dog and disposing of the waste responsibly.
