THE NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH KZ8 – PARISH OF ROADE)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the above Order made by Northamptonshire County Council on 26th January 2017 and which came into effect on 31st January 2017 has been extended until the works to which it relates have been completed or until midnight on 31st July 2019 whichever is sooner by the Secretary of State for Transport. Private access to land or premises adjacent to the said footpath is unaffected.

REASONS FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for health and safety during on-going construction works.

SCHEDULE

The existing route to be closed begins at point A at National Grid Reference ("NGR") SP7598 5145. The route travels generally south west over the bridge for a distance of approximately 590 metres to point B at NGR SP7545 5127.

The route is shown by a solid black line between points A – B.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:

The alternative route starts at point A at NGR SP7598 5145. The alternative route travels approximately 309 metres along the highway footway of Ashton Road and Hartwell Road to point C at NGR SP7594 5174, on High Street. The route then travels generally west along the highway footway of High Street for approximately 468 metres and over the crossing to point D at NGR SP7550 5162, on Stratford Road. It then heads south along the highway footway of Stratford Road and over the crossing for a total distance of approximately 422 metres to point B at NGR SP7545 5127.

The alternative route is shown by a broken black line between points A – C – D – B.
