Roade Community Larder is changing
Rather than receiving free food parcels, for which funding has now stopped, membership to the larders will be available.
Members will be able to access the Larders to select the items they would like for a heavily reduced fee compared to the supermarket supplemented by a range of free fruit, vegetables and other fresh items whilst stock lasts.
Membership is £10 per year and weekly fees are £4 for 10 items and £8 for 22. The larder will be open to EVERYONE, so anyone who wishes to grab a bargain and help avoid food waste is welcome.
They will be running a session each Monday afternoon in Roade Village hall 1.30-2.30pm from 12 April with a one off launch event on the morning of Wednesday 7th April. If families are unable to attend the Larder session due to mobility or other issues they can arrange for their volunteers to choose their items and deliver.
