Would you like to make a real difference to lives of people in Roade?

Your local charity, the Roade Feoffee and Chivall Charity needs some committed individuals to come together to modernise the charity. They're currently looking for a new board of trustees to help bring the charity up to date so it can help even more people.

The charity generates an income which is then applied to reduce the "need, hardship, or distress" of the residents of Roade. Recently they've been helping the food larder to run, the schools to fund various projects, and many individual case.

Being a trustee can be a rewarding and there's plenty more good that can be done. They're seeking new trustee who want to see the charity become more visible, more accessible, and more accountable.

If that's sounds like a goal you can be committed to while acting with reasonable care and skill to help improve the charity and the community then please fill out this form -

You're not making any commitment at this stage, so don't panic! This is simply somewhere for you and the charity to start a conversation from. The charity and its appointing body (Roade Parish Council) has a duty to ensure the board of trustees is varied and has the right skills represented to run the charity effectively, which is why this application process exists.

Following a successful application, someone from the charity will meet with you to discuss the duties of a trustee and other details the charity. If that all goes well and you're still willing, you'll be asked to be asked to become a trustee and officially appointed.

If you'd like more information in the meantime, The Charity Commission provides tons of guidance.

If you'd prefer a bit more detail (and some pictures!) the Charity Commission's Welcome Pack is probably for you

Otherwise, someone can take you through these after receiving a successful application.
