Roade Neighbourhood Plan Notice of Poll

On June 20th a poll will be held to determine whether South Northants Council uses the Roade Neighbourhood Plan to help it decide planning applications in the Neighbourhood Area.

The Poll is at the Village Hall in Roade, between 7am and 10pm. Please come down and support the Roade Neighbourhood Plan and cast your vote.

New Parish Council Chairman Elected!

New Parish Council Chairman Elected!

We are pleased to announce that at the Annual Roade Parish Council meeting a new Chairman and a new Vice Chair were elected for the coming year.

Cllr Lorne Murray was elected as Chairman having served as Vice Chairman for the past 3 years. Cllr Marie Reilly was elected as Vice Chair.

New temporary 40mph Speed Restriction - A508

Due to the number of collisions that have happened recently on the A508 approaching Roade NCC have agreed to put a temporary 40mph speed limit on the section of road from the Blisworth turn to include both the bends either side of Woodleys Nursery.

The road will be resurfaced later this year and when that has been completed the speed limit will increase to 50mph again.

Crime in Roade & surrounding villages

We have had a spate of crimes in the parish, the Police have issued the following -

We are looking into the crimes that have been report in Roade, It seem that Wootton, Grange Park, and Roade over the last month or so have been targeted with Burglaries and Thefts of and from motor vehicles.

Patrols plans have been organised and other intelligence led operations which are ongoing.
