West Northamptonshire Council have advised us that Midlands Traffic Management have requested a road closure to allow kerbing, resurfacing, anti-skid and line marking works to be undertaken safely.
It is proposed that Ashton road will be closed from the 19th to 30th July 2021.

Due to changes in circumstances, the Parish Council is retendering for a new grass mowing contractor.
Tender packs have been sent out to all companies who previously tendered for this years contract.
Any other company wishing to tender please contact Alison Reynolds, Parish Clerk to arrange for a tender pack to be sent out to them. Closing date for tenders is 12pm on Monday 12th July 2021.

Roade History Society's AGM and Down Memory Roade meeting has been postponed due to Covid restrictions.
The AGM and Down Memory Roade will now be held at 7pm at St Mary's Church Hall on Wednesday 28th July.

Every year Northamptonshire Libraries deliver the Summer Reading Challenge, which challenges children to read 6 books during the summer holidays. It has been proven that children who don't continue reading during the summer have a lower reading age when they return to school in September than that before the summer. Following concerns raised by residents over the increased number of HGV/Articulated lorries traveling through the High Street, Northampton Road and Hartwell Road, the Parish Council have been in correspondence with West Northamptonshire Council (WNC) Highways department to find out what/if anything can be done.
