Vehicle Activated Signs (VAS)

Roade Parish Council has three Vehicle Activated Signs (VAS), one which is situated outside Elizabeth Woodville School and a further two which are moved around the village to record the number of vehicles and speed they are travelling.

We have a section 50 licence with WNC highways allowing us to move the VAS to various locations throughout the village.

This data is collated and analysed at our quarterly Community Safety Committee meetings. Data is then shared with West Northamptonshire Highways Department, Community Speed Watch Team and the Safer Roads Team at Northamptonshire Police.
